Create a Stovefront account

Signing up creates your account and your kitchen together. There is no separate step to make a workspace — you get one automatically.

Your included Stovefront address is reserved immediately at app.stovefront.com/your-address. Before you publish, that root address shows a getting ready page; menu, checkout, and ordering stay unavailable. Your normal publish checks still apply before customers can use the storefront.

No card is required. Every account starts on a 14-day free trial.

Sign up with email

Start from Create your Stovefront on stovefront.com.

  1. Choose a plan: Basic or Premium. This is the plan you move to when the trial ends; the trial itself includes the Premium tools.
  2. Enter Your name, Business name, Email, a Password of at least 8 characters, and your Town / service area.
  3. Tick the two boxes and select Join Early Access.

Your kitchen workspace opens straight away.

Sign up with Google

  1. On the signup page, choose a plan, then select Sign up with Google and pick your Google account.
  2. The Email and Password fields disappear — Google has already confirmed your email address. Your name is filled in from Google; add your Business name and Town / service area.
  3. Tick the two boxes and select Join Early Access.

There is no password to set and no verification email. Next time, sign in with Sign in with Google. Changed your mind? Select Use email instead to go back to the email form.

If that Google email already has a Stovefront kitchen, the signup page tells you so and links to Sign in with Google.

You can also start from Sign in with Google on the sign-in page. If the Google email has no kitchen yet, you see Finish creating your kitchen with the same fields; select Create my kitchen to finish.

Both boxes are required and are recorded with your account, whichever way you sign up:

  • You agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  • You confirm food is made in an independent kitchen and that following your local cottage food and food safety laws is your responsibility.

Confirm your email

If you signed up with email and a password, Stovefront sends a verification link. Click it. Verifying unlocks several features, and it means we can reach you about your account.

Your storefront and order notifications work either way — but do not leave it sitting unverified.

Adding Google to an existing account

If a password account already uses that email, Stovefront links Google only after the email address has been confirmed. If you see a message that the account must be confirmed first, sign in with your Stovefront password, use password reset if needed, or open the verification email. Then try Google again. This prevents someone with a matching Google address from taking over an unconfirmed account.

Next steps

Complete your kitchen profile, then publish your first menu.

Read what your free trial includes so nothing surprises you on day 15.

If something goes wrong

"An account already exists for that email." — you already have a kitchen. Sign in instead, or use password reset. Creating a second account will not merge with the first.

The password is rejected. — it must be at least 8 characters.

Your Google sign-in expired. — the form was open too long after choosing Google. Select Sign up with Google again. (On the sign-in page, select Use a different account, then Sign in with Google.)
