Set delivery days and fees

Turn delivery on

  1. Open Operations → Schedule → Pickup & schedule.
  2. Switch on Add Delivery.
  3. Set Delivery price — the flat fee added to any delivery order. Enter 0 for free delivery.
  4. Fill in Delivery details: the free-text description customers read at checkout.

Choose the days

Once delivery is on, a Delivery days picker appears lower in the same Pickup & schedule page. Pick which days you deliver.

If you have turned scheduled pickup on, both of those editors move into a section called Simple pickup & delivery settings (used only if you switch back) further down the same page. Select it to open them; they work exactly as described above, and they apply again as soon as you switch back to simple pickup.

Stovefront does not check addresses — read this part

There is no service-area boundary and no address validation. Stovefront will not stop someone forty miles away from placing a delivery order.

The only thing standing between you and an impossible delivery is what you write in Delivery details. So write it precisely:

Delivery Thursdays to Harborview, Eastgate, and Mill Bay only. If you are outside these, please choose pickup — we will contact you to switch the order if a delivery address is out of range.

Naming the towns beats "local area". Saying what you will do about an out-of-range order sets expectations before it happens.

The fee is flat

One price for every delivery order, regardless of distance or basket size. There is no per-mile pricing and no free-delivery-over-a-threshold rule. If you need distance-based pricing, build it into your food prices or keep the fee at the higher end.

Check it

Place a test order as a customer and confirm the fee appears in the total and your delivery description is readable at checkout.
