Confirm an order and payment received

Open Orders and find the new order. Each row shows the customer, order number, items and quantities, pickup time, total, and payment status.

To see the rest — customer contact, item photos, the pickup or delivery address, notes for the kitchen, and your private kitchen notes — select View details. The full order opens in a panel beside the queue, or fills the screen on a phone. Check all of it before changing any status. Close the panel with its ✕, the Escape key, or by selecting outside it.

Stripe card payments

Stripe payment status is synchronized automatically. A completed card payment shows Paid, and its payment control cannot be changed by hand. If it is still confirming, failed, or expired, follow Troubleshoot customer payments and refunds.

Do not hand over an order until its Stripe payment status is Paid unless you have made a separate arrangement with the customer.

Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, PayPal, or cash

Payment sent means the customer says they paid; Stovefront cannot verify the money.

  1. Open the payment service or check the cash yourself.
  2. Match the recipient, customer, and amount to the order.
  3. Select Confirm paid only after the money appears.

For an order still marked Awaiting payment, select Mark paid only after independently verifying payment.

Do not mark an order paid based only on a customer message or an unverified screenshot. If payment is missing or unclear, contact the customer and leave the payment status unchanged.

Confirm the order

Payment and order status are separate. After reviewing the order, use Confirm order to acknowledge it and begin the fulfillment workflow. Confirming an order does not confirm its payment.
