Choosing a logo file
Upload your logo in Website → Design → Homepage.
- If your logo is round, or any shape other than a rectangle, save it as a PNG. PNG keeps the transparent background, so the logo sits directly on your page.
- A JPG cannot store transparency. Whatever was transparent is filled in with white when the file is saved, so a round logo arrives as a circle inside a white square. If you see a white box behind your logo, the file is a JPG — export it again as a PNG and re-upload.
- Aim for a roughly square image, at least 400 pixels wide. It is shown small in the header and larger over your cover photo.
Large uploads are resized automatically to keep your page fast. Transparent logos stay transparent when that happens.
Choose a homepage cover
The cover is the wide image across the top of your homepage, set in Website → Design → Homepage.
If you do not have a photo yet, Start from a cover offers a few stock images that suit any kitchen. Pick one and it is saved straight away, so your page never launches with an empty header.
Treat them as a place to begin. They are shared by every kitchen on Stovefront, so a photo of your own food, your counter, or your space will always say more about you than a stock image. Replace it as soon as you have one.
Aim for 2400 x 1350 pixels (16:9). Use Move photo up or down to choose which part stays visible, because the edges crop differently on phones and computers.
Set your AI photo preference
In Design → Homepage, expand AI photo preferences. Choose Ask me each time, Automatically enhance, or Keep original photos (no AI), then use Save settings. The closed row shows your current choice. The enhancement style is disabled while AI is off; your selected style is kept if you turn it back on.
Each enhancement uses one image credit. Choosing automatic enhancement uses a credit for each new menu photo. The original upload remains attached if enhancement fails.
Choose colors and a theme
Open Design → Colors & theme, choose a Theme collection, then use a theme or customize it. Preview buttons, text & cards expands the detailed preview. Use Create custom for your own colors and button settings.
Every ready-made theme keeps text readable for customers with low vision: button labels, prices and small print meet the WCAG AA contrast standard. Prices use your theme's accent color, darkened only as far as needed to read clearly on your cards, so a light accent such as butter yellow or lime shows up as a deeper shade of the same color. Badges and other decorative touches keep the accent exactly as you chose it. If you build a custom theme, pick a Primary color dark enough that the Button text color reads clearly on it.
Make the first screen do work
A customer landing on your page should learn three things without scrolling: what you sell, where they collect it, and when the next menu opens.
Check it as a customer
Save, then open your storefront in a private or incognito browser window. Signed in, you see the owner's view — which is not what customers get.

Resume a paused storefront
Open Store paused in the header or go to Website / Publish & share. If setup is incomplete, each missing requirement has a button that opens the relevant settings. Enable pickup and provide a complete pickup address, select pickup days and a start/end time, verify your email, and publish a menu week with an item or enabled package. Save settings after changing pickup details or the schedule.
When the requirements are complete, select Resume storefront. If vacation mode has paused ordering, use Manage vacation settings to change that setting. Connecting a custom domain does not complete these publishing requirements.
